THE IMPORTANCE OF DRYING IN WOOD FOR ITS APPLICATIONS:<\/p>

The process of wood drying is one of the most important processes for both the use of wood, its machining and its non-rotting.<\/p>

Over time, progress has been made in this area in the world of wood, but the only way to dry it was to dry it in a natural air-drying process, with the disadvantage of having to spend long periods of time, even years, to reach the optimum humidity level for its work.<\/p>

Drying time depends on many factors, both the morphology of the wood itself (density, thickness, etc.) and external causes (environmental characteristics, geographic location, drying kilns, etc. ….).<\/p>

With the drying in special chambers (dryers), a fast and uniform drying is achieved. This drying is mandatory in many countries, because it eliminates parasites from the wood and prevents their propagation, by means of the thermal treatment ISPM 15, which subjects the wood to a temperature above 56 \u00baC, for at least 30 minutes. This reduces shrinkage, saves the costs of a long natural drying time, prevents fungal and insect attacks and prevents staining. <\/p>

There are some exceptions for the use of wet wood or in colloquial language green wood, they would be the wood that is placed for ship hulls, bridge foundations, works in contact with water permanently.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
