The origin of the company goes back to 1921, the year in which Mr. Ramón Blanquer, grandfather of the present managers, founded a serrery-carpentry, sited in Banyeres de Mariola, Alicante. In those times the company manufactured fruit boxes.

The  birth of cardboard caused a crisis in the business. This situation did not discourage  Mr. Jorge Blanquer, Mr. Ramon´s son and founder of the present company and he began a new activity of tale, sawn wood and commercialization of lumbers like pine, poplar and walnut.

In 1960, the married couple BLANQUER-CALATAYUD relocated to Valencia to be closer to their customers, coming from the furniture industry.

The present MADERAS Y CHAPAS BLANQUER society was founded in 1981. The enterprise has been growing progressively, from the 100m2 in its beginnings to the present facilities of more than 12.000 m2 of warehouse and other similar extension of exterior warehouse for natural drying and storage.

Our love of wood has meant that our warehouses now sell one of the greatest varieties of wood..
